Bondi Public School is a large urban beachside primary school located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. It was established in 1883 and has had a long history in public education.
The school has grown from 70 students in 2007 to a large and successful school of choice today.
We believe our success is directly related to educational philosophies such as The Quality Teaching Framework which espouses Engagement and Significance and Intellectual Quality as key important aspects of teaching. Values Education is also key to a cohesive school culture.
Bondi Public School integrates the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program across all curriculum areas and highly values the messages around fresh produce and healthy eating that the program teaches. Philosophy for Children is embedded K-6 and has a dedicated philosophy teacher. Enrichment classes in each stage cater for the needs of gifted and talented students. The school also focuses on embedding Science & Technology and Gifted and Talented education in all classrooms.
Achievements in Literacy and Numeracy are excellent and are supported by sport and a student wellbeing program BounceBack.
Our excellent music program is offered to all students weekly and we currently have 2 school bands, 2 choirs and have a school musical annually. Individual music and instrument lessons are available at school out of school hours.
Our success is a team effort. We are very proud of our committed and caring teaching staff as well as our efficient and welcoming office staff.
Importantly for busy families, we also offer high quality Before and After School programs and Vacation Care.
Bondi Public School is supported by a focused and active Parents and Citizens Association. Together we strive to enrich the educational and social lives of all students.
