Catching public transport

Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school. Plan your school travel and find out your available bus and train routs at Transport NSW.

The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you are driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school.
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
• never calling your child from across the road
• use the safest place to cross the road.

For parents and carers of younger children

Discuss with your child how to be safe when:

• walking
• in the car
• waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the bus
• riding bikes, scooters and skateboards

Also talk about and practice:

• safe travel routes
• plans for when unexpected things happen
• what to do in wet weather.
